Sarah Lowe's paintings evoke conflicting feelings of detachment and closeness, where the viewer gets to become a spy and has a Birdseye view of the scene below. The joyful process of applying and manipulating paint is apparent and is led intuitively by the resulting shapes and colour. Highly contrasting light and shadows and an unusual angle are vital to her composition and add to the sense of being the observer. In the past 3 years, Sarah has been involved in an east London artist collective called Creative Bloc and is often involved in group shows as well as exhibiting as an individual. Over the years, Sarah has worked in many different mediums and sizes and although her work is presently figurative She is still prone to more abstract moments.
